Greg W. Brooks is a partner at Serling Rooks Hunter McKoy Worob & Averill LLP. His broad transactional practice includes the representation of creative talent, entrepreneurs and companies in music, media, branding and new technologies. Clients include recording artists, songwriters, music publishers, record labels, producers, managers, and executives. He advises on recording and music publishing matters, producer or mixer agreements, band agreements, merchandising, sponsorship, endorsement, touring, management and employment agreements and other music industry matters including copyright and trademark issues.
Prior to joining SRH in 2000, Mr. Brooks was an associate in the corporate practice of Byrne Hicks & Davis PC in Atlanta, Georgia where his practice was primarily focused on mergers and acquisition transactions, private securities offerings and a wide variety of corporate transactional matters. In his current practice, Mr. Brooks advises entrepreneurs, “start-up” companies and established large companies on corporate structuring, financing transactions, sales or acquisition transactions, executive employment agreements and other corporate matters. In additional to entertainment industry clients, Mr. Brooks’ business clients include companies that develop and license intellectual property and technology, internet-based retail and service companies, restaurants and real estate developers.
