Biography

Jamie Starling is an associate attorney at Serling Rooks Hunter McKoy Worob & Averill LLP. His practice is focused on the music and entertainment industries, where he negotiates and advises clients on recording industry transactions, music publishing transactions, artist management agreements, producer agreements, IP touring licenses, corporate formation and acquisitions.

Prior to joining SRH, Jamie was Senior Director of Business & Legal Affairs for Entertainment One and its diverse family of affiliates, including the legendary Death Row Records. Jamie is well-versed in advising institutions, creators and entrepreneurs in the fields of entertainment and intellectual property and has written and spoken on these issues in a number of professional settings.

Jamie serves as an Adjunct Professor of Copyright Law at Belmont University’s Curb College of Music Business while focusing his pro-bono and volunteer efforts on assisting victims of domestic and sexual violence and empowering the youth of Middle Tennessee.
