Biography

Jeffrey Worob is a partner at Serling Rooks Hunter McKoy Worob & Averill LLP and a globally recognized expert in entertainment law. His goal-setting counsel and tactical input help maintain the firm’s status as one of the most respected and influential in its field. Having strategized commercial success of high-profile popular music groups from the initial stages of their careers to global recognition, Mr. Worob is also responsible for day-to-day management and oversight of a diverse client roster. This includes Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum RIAA certified recording artists and songwriters, music producers, record companies, music publishers, industry executives, marketing and promotion companies, personal managers and management companies, production companies, booking agencies, and entrepreneurs.

Mr. Worob received his undergraduate degree from Tufts University in 1991 and in 1994 was awarded his Juris Doctor by the Emory University School of Law. He began his career at the New Jersey firm of Wells, Jaworski, Liebman & Paton. Following this position, Mr. Worob became an associate at the music industry law firm of Davis, Shapiro, Lewit, Montone & Hayes in New York City. Mr. Worob joined Serling Rooks & Ferrara in 2002 as an associate and became a partner in 2006, advancing client-driven initiatives and creating versatile opportunities. Today his influence extends to a wide variety of areas within the music industry from traditional transactions to new and evolving media and technology.

During his nearly 25 years of law practice, Mr. Worob processed thousands of unique transactions for some of the most prominent names in entertainment, including negotiating and drafting joint venture, recording, music publishing, music rights sales and media licensing agreements. His comprehensive experience and ability to creatively address challenges make him one of the most sought-after lawyers in entertainment law.
